Simplis Launches the First AI App for French Professional Insurance, Built with Waniwani

Simplis, a leading digital insurance broker for French professionals, and Waniwani, the revenue and compliance infrastructure for the agentic distribution of financial services, today announced the launch of Simplis’s AI application on ChatGPT.
Simplis becomes the first French insurtech to let a professional obtain a quote and subscribe to professional liability insurance inside an AI conversation.
The app is live now for auto-entrepreneurs seeking Responsabilité Civile Professionnelle cover, the baseline policy required across most self-employed activities in France.
Why professional lines
Buying professional insurance in France has long meant search engines, comparison sites, forms and callbacks.
That path assumes the buyer already knows which cover applies to their trade. For someone starting out, it rarely does.
Professionals are putting those questions to AI assistants instead. Generalist assistants answer them in general terms, without a price and without a way to act on the answer.
What is live
Through the Simplis application, a professional can:
- describe their activity in their own words and learn whether RC Pro applies to it
- receive a quote priced on their situation, in real time
- complete the subscription without re-entering anything they have already said
Simplis signed with Waniwani in April. The application went live on ChatGPT four months later.
What comes next
RC Pro is the first product in a broader programme.
Craftsman insurance for construction trades, health cover, income protection, legal protection and business premises are scheduled to follow.
They will be served across ChatGPT and other AI platforms, and on simplis.fr itself, with the same catalogue, pricing and compliance controls wherever the customer asks.
